Saman Naquvi oversees development operations for the Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility (CLEAR) project at CUNY Law, including grants, annual giving, donor management, strategic engagement, and communications. Her previous experience in development comes from working for three years Institutional Advancement at LaGuardia Community College (CUNY), an immigrant-serving higher educational institution.
Prior to joining CUNY, Saman was the Grassroots Advocacy Associate at Americans for Democracy & Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB), a DC-based NGO which fosters awareness of and support for democracy and human rights in Bahrain and the Middle East. In this role, Saman had the opportunity to address the United Nation Human Right Council in Geneva and deliver an oral intervention on violence against children in Bahrain and the Gulf states.
Since 9/11, Saman has been a highly active grassroots organizer in the NYC-Metro area on many issues concerning American Muslims, including Islamophobia & unconstitutional surveillance.
