Lamiya Khandaker
Lamiya Khandaker is an Administrative Assistant with the (CLEAR) Project. She provides direct support to Staff Attorneys and implements efficient systems for collaborative workflows.
Prior to joining, she provided high level legal administrative assistance in the Intellectual Property practice group at an Am Law 200 corporate firm for 3 years. She also served as a Project Manager for 3 years at the Islamic Leadership Council of New York, a faith-based non-profit in which she worked with local community organizations to implement grant-based projects with the mission to uplift and mobilize Muslim and minority groups in NYC in matters of civil rights, social justice, and economic empowerment.
Lamiya received her Masters of Theological Studies Degree in Islamic Philosophy from Harvard Divinity School, and her Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Connecticut College. She remains committed to improving the lives of others and continuing advocacy for pro-Palestine speech after several personal encounters of censorship and targeted harassment.
