Amal Thabateh is a Staff Attorney with the Creating Law Enforcement Accountability & Responsibility (CLEAR) Project.
Prior to joining CLEAR, Amal was the Michael Ratner Justice Fellow at Palestine Legal, where she challenged the censorship, surveillance, and suppression of advocates for Palestinian liberation. Amal is a proud Palestinian and an incorrigible Brooklynite. She earned her J.D. from CUNY School of Law where she was a Sorensen Center for International Peace and Justice fellow, a Public Interest Merit Scholarship recipient, and served as a senior staff editor for CUNY Law Review.
